Sheffield Local Involvement Network

We are very happy to welcome three new people to the Link support team bringing us back to full strength. Michelle Wood, our new full-time Development Officer, has worked for both the statutory and voluntary community sector for a number of years, mostly with children and young people. Most recently she worked for the Darnall Forum. She is dedicated to animal welfare and has a number of rescue animals at home.

Michael Hughes is our new part-time Development Officer. He is job sharing with Steve and will be working Wednesday pm, Thursday and Friday. Michael's background is in national government and the voluntary sector. He has considerable experience in partnership working and has worked extensively in advocacy organisations, supporting people to speak up for their rights and obtain appropriate services.

Jess Macnair, our new full-time administrator, has come to us from a role at Sheffield Hallam University. In her spare time, Jess volunteers for SOVA (Supporting Others through Volunteer Action), SAVTE (Sheffield Association for Voluntary Teachers of English) and Art in the Park. She likes reading, drawing, food and cycles to work!
