On our homepage, we have run a number of quick polls to get a snapshot of the public's views on a particular topic. Our current website poll on is about the city-centre walk-in service in Broad Lane. We are looking at this since a consultation is just ending to move the Minor Injuries and Walk-in Centres from the Hallamshire to Broad Lane. Our aim is to find out whether people whether they have used it and any comments they may have. Click here to go back to the home page to complete the poll. The results of previous polls are listed below: Swine flu vaccineIt seems we are far from convinced about the Swine Flu vaccine according to our latest online poll. In November/December 2009, we asked the simple question 'If you were offered the Swine Flu vaccine would you have it? A total of 43 people responded with just 17answering 'Yes'. Those who were positive giving reasons including 'Prevention is better than cure' and 'being in an 'at risk' group, flu is a very serious illness for me'.' Another 15 people voted 'No' with the main reasons being 'I haven't had any flu jabs even when offered. Swine flu is no different', and 'Not enough evidence that it is safe.' Another 11 people voted 'Don't Know' with typical comment being 'I'm a bit confused about whether it's safe or not.' We will be passing our findings on to NHS Sheffield. Views on our new websiteOur first poll which ran from when the website was launched on 29 September 2009 through October. We asked people what they thought of the new website and 35 people responded and the results were very positive. 71% voted it excellent; another 20% thought it good and just 3 people thought it fair or poor. Comments included "A very good site - lots of useful information presented in an accessible format and easy to navigate", "love the site" and "clear and informative".
