Sheffield Local Involvement Network

We held our first large-scale consultation event on 17 July at St Mary's Conference Centre. Entitled "Developing Sheffield LINk: Be part of making a difference". The event attracted over 100 people. The key speaker was John Leask, Policy & Partnership Consultant from Doncaster City Council, who talked about the experience at Doncaster LINk which was one of the LINK pilots.

Also on the panel were: Jane Anslow, from Voluntary Action Sheffield, Mike Smith and Alice Underwood, former Patient & Public Involvement Forum members.

There was a great atmosphere and good discussions about building Sheffield LINk and the feedback was positive. Key outcomes of the event include general awareness-raising, early development on models and Governing Board principles.
