Join our 'Listening Exercise' on NHS reforms
May 17, 2011

As you are probably aware, the Government recently launched a ‘listening exercise’ to gather people’s views on their plans to modernise the NHS while the Health Bill is going through Parliament.

To give you the opportunity to take part in this 'Listening Exercise, Sheffield LINk is turning its May Discussion Forum event into a ‘listening exercise’. The event will take place next Tuesday 24th May 2011 at The Circle, 33 Rockingham Lane, Sheffield, S1 4FW from 11am to 1pm although places are limited.

Simon Kirk, Director of Strategy and Transition at NHS Sheffield, will give an overview of what’s already happening to health services in Sheffield and will then introduce the 'listening exercise'. Those persent will then split into groups to discuss the four themes in more detail. These themes are:

  • choice and competition
  • accountability and patient involvement
  • education and training
  • advice and leadership

After the event, Sheffield LINk will gather in your views and submit them to the Department of Health. Click here to read more about this and see other ways of taking part.

Please note: places are limited and will be allocated strictly on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact us as soon as possible to book your place.
