Have you heard of and/or are you interested in 'telecare'? The term, telecare, is used for the technology and associated services that help people manage their own health in their own home. Community alarms, fall alarms and motion detectors are all examples of these items. Sheffield LINk is organising two small discussion groups on Thursday 17 February at 10am and Monday 21 February at 2pm where researchers from the University of Sheffield can talk to LINk members about their knowledge and understanding of telecare services. Although telecare services can make a big difference to service users and carers, it seems that awareness of them is low. The researchers are interested in hearing from you whether you have lots of experience of these or none at all. The discussions will last about an hour, refreshments will be provided and travel expenses can be claimed. To book your place, please contact us as soon as possible. There will be a second group held on |
