| How Sheffield LINk is Funded |

Central government provides the funding for Sheffield LINk. This is distributed to the local authority, Sheffield City Council (SCC), which in turn gives it to the host organisation for Sheffield LINk, Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS). VAS holds the budget for Sheffield LINk and audits the spending. Although Sheffield LINk is funded by government and supported by VAS, it is run as a completely independent organisation. Initially, all LINks are being funded for three years, April 2008 to March 2011. At the end of this time, the Government will decide whether they will continue or not. |
