First 'Enter and View' visit
November 13, 2009

One of the LINk's key powers is the right to 'enter and view' a health or social care premises to observe what is going on there. Sheffield LINk is one of the first in the country to have trained our authorised representatives and undertaken these visits.

Three have taken place in the last month: the first by members of Children and Young People's Group to the Ryegate Children's Centre (see picture of their sensory garden). Two more have taken place to gather information for the Access to GPs Action Group, these have to medical practices in Tinsley and Woodhouse, and another one is planned for Parson Cross. Reports of these visits are still being prepared and will be put on our website in due course.

We are also pleased to announce that two more people, Patricia Woods and Sheila Wright, have been approved as authorised representatives. We are continuing to recruit and train people to be authorised representatives, contact us for more information.
